Every Man will March, 2009. newspaper collage, water color, and xerox. Portrait of General Winfield Scott, the federal agent assigned to evict all Cherokee who refused to leave their land following the breaking of treaties in the 1830s. I was inspired to create this piece while reading John Ehle’s Trail of Tears.
